Community Prayer Requests

Please keep my grandmother in your prayers this weekend. She has been in the hospital since last Friday at Moore Regional. She was admitted with nausea vomiting and severe abdominal pains. A lot of tests were done and they found abnormalities but could not get to where they needed to be because it was in such a remote place on her. Exploratory surgery was done yesterday where they removed two sections of small bowel; they think this was the problem. However, they knew before surgery that she could have complications coming off of the ventilator, and their fears were confirmed. We hoped and prayed that she would be able to come off today but now they are saying tomorrow or even next week. Thing about it is I'll be moving to Wrightsville Beach this Tuesday for an internship at the WB Fire Dept. while going to college in Wilmington. I do not want to have to leave while she is in the hospital but I may have to. It is especially hard for me and the rest of the family because I have already lost one grandmother this year in July. Before her surgery I prayed with her and we both confessed all of our sins to Christ and I believe we both were forgiven! I will keep the faith and pray very often, now I ask you all to do the same.  My fathers best friend which as been like an uncle to me. He is one of the strongest men I have ever meet as cancer all over his body.  He has become a shell of the man I use to know. I need this communities prayers to full whatever the lord plans. Thank you in advance.

Dear Family and Friends,

I am writing you to tell you about something awesome that God is doing in my life.  I feel that God is leading me to attend Shabbach  which is a Christian Youth Conference to be held in Washington D.C. from March 23^rd – March 25^th.  Last year 16 youth from Multitudes attended and were moved by the experience including many who decided for Christ for the first time!   I can’t wait to go and am really excited.

The reason I am sending you this letter is to invite you to be a part of this experience by supporting us with prayers and/or financial support.  We have a big group going this year:

 8 adults and 24 youth.  The cost to attend is $147.00 per person.  As you can see that means that we need $4704.00 total!  We confident that God is calling us to attend and that He will supply our needs in full.  Please join our team by supporting us with prayers for the Holy Spirit to do a mighty work at this conference and for God to supply our financial needs.

thank you so much for your prayers for  JD Osborne. He had rotator cup surgery today and is already home resting quietly. There were three tears. JD will have a hard time recovering as he is always on the go....Please pray for patience, healing and God's comforting love surrounding him...

My church is planning on going to Nicaragua at the end of September for a mission trip. The total cost of the trip is $1200. I would love to go, however the financial burden is very heavy.

Please pray for Jacoby Rogers, a 12 year old, involved in ATV accident. He has been flown to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.

Beckie Sutton's mother, Mrs. Hall, is under hospice care and is not expected to live much longer.  Please keep Beckie, her brother, sister, and dad in prayer.  Mrs. Hall is a strong Christian lady, the family is praying for peace and comfort for her.

Please pray for my sister, Janet Moss, she recently fell and broke several ribs, which punctured her right lung.  Her lung filled up with blood and she had to have surgery.  Also, only 30% of her heart is working after a heart attack a few years ago.

Members from First Baptist Church in Rockingham, First Baptist in Ellerbe and North Laurinburg Baptist , Laurinburg left this morning on a mission trip to Madison, West Virginia. Our emmaus member Don Gilliam is attending. I pray for God's word to spread like wildfire and to make a difference in the lives of these people as this team shares their gifts.  They will be returning Saturday, July 2. To God Be the GLORY..

Please pray for my dear friend Heather she was 6 months pregnant and had her baby last night. Khloe is in Chapel Hill and Heather is in Moore county pray that both will be ok. Pray that baby Khloe will have no complications over the next few months.

Please pray for our sister in Christ, Debra Barnes.  She went into the hospital Thursday night as her headaches would not diminish.  She was taken into surgery this afternoon.  Please pray for her healing and for comfort and understanding for her husband Bob and the family.

I am asking for prayer for my brother Warren Boyette.  He is a 49 yr. old stroke patient.  He had his stroke 2/14/11 and the Lord has brought him along way....but he still has a way to go...please pray that the Lord will get Warren ready to meet the requirements for Rehab.  We are having trouble with his insurance and acute care...so please remember all of us.  Thank you! pray for the emmaus walk coming up in two weeks

Please keep my daughter Sarah Gray and her unborn daughter Joselyn in your prayers. Joselyn's due date is June 5th and she has been diagnosed with ventriculomegaly - meaning enlarged ventricles -the area that holds the cerebral spinal fluid. If too much fluid fills up it can cause severe brain damage. I've been told this can also be a sign of other problems or their cause BUT on the positive 70 to 90 % of unborn babies found with this are born perfectly normal. It is also very difficult - especially the stress of the repeated tests to watch the size of the ventricle and it's fluid level - for my daughter since she lives in Texas at her husband's duty station while her family is here in North Carolina. I ask that you pray first for Joselyn - that God's hand will hold her and keep her whole - and second for Sarah - that God continues to keep his guiding hand on her and calms her nerves and her fears. Also, keep her husband David and their 19 month old daughter Sydnee in your prayers too.

Please pray for Sidney McInnis from Bennettsville, SC.  He is in Moore County hospital.  I also would like to help his nurse find a church home.  She is from West Virginia and is looking for a small Baptist church in the Pinehurst/Aberdeen area that has regular Sunday service and a Wednesday night service.  She has to work every other weekend so she needs to be able to go on Wednesday night also.  I told her we would ask.  So if any of you can help, please send me an email.  Thanks.

Thank you to everyone who has prayed for us. We are really feeling the love this holiday season and appreciate it! Just to keep everyone informed, When I went to the doctor on Friday, they confirmed that I had cancer and found two spots in other places (but not confirmed as cancer). I will be having surgery on Dec. 29^th and will be in the hospital for about a week. Please keep my family in your prayers during this time. I love you all and thank you again!
