Camp Rockfish needs you! A work day has been set for Saturday, May 10 to replace the bridge between the dinning hall and the Bergland center that burned a few weeks back. Steve Smith from the camp will be on hand to get us started at 9:00 a.m. With a good team we should be able to complete the work by a little past lunch. Please bring the following for the reconstruction.
A work team has already placed the pilings and now we need to place stringers and pier joists. The water will soon be rising so it becomes important to complete this project May 10. The camp is providing lunch for all who will come to work. Let us know if you will be able to come so that we can have an accurate count from which the camp may prepare our meal.
This will be a great way for the Emmaus Community to be back at Rockfish and reconnect with members of your walk. Please e-mail Gil Wise at wisegil@juno.com if you can help on May 10. Counts for lunch must be given to the camp by Friday, May 9.
